Abstract: Climate change poses significant challenges to global health, disproportionately affecting vulnerable populations and worsening existing health inequities. This review explores the complex link between health equity and climate change adaptation, emphasizing the need for inclusive and equitable strategies to mitigate climate-related health impacts. The study highlights the disproportionate burden of climate change on marginalized communities. This study examines the direct and indirect impacts of climate phenomena on health while examining the inequitable allocation of vulnerabilities and risks among various socio-cultural and economic factions. Current adaptation measures, such as disaster preparedness, climate-resilient healthcare systems, and community-based initiatives, are assessed for effectiveness and equity considerations. Key barriers, including socioeconomic disparities, limited access to resources, and insufficient policy integration, are discussed, along with opportunities for advancing equity-focused adaptation. By synthesizing evidence from global and local case studies, this review highlights the importance of integrating health equity into climate adaptation efforts to ensure sustainable and fair outcomes for all. Addressing these challenges requires interdisciplinary collaboration, participatory approaches, and targeted investments to build resilience among the most at-risk populations. The findings provide actionable insights for policymakers integrating equity into global climate adaptation frameworks. This review contributes by synthesizing equity-centered adaptation strategies across LMIC contexts.
